He is survived by children, Cheryl (John) Kniaz, Stephen (Sue Ellen), Karen (Mark Battin) Clarke, Susan (Rich) Mender; grandchildren; Lauren (Kevin) Heisler, Jason (Marcie) Kniaz, Kaitlyn (Thomas) Essman, Adam Clarke, Brendan (Carly) Clarke, Samuel Clarke, Mark (Crystal) Battin, Julian, Emily and Grace Battin, Allison, Justin and Eric Mender; 12 great grandchildren; his sweetheart, Kathleen Clott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; parents, Raymond and Ruby Clarke. Steve received an MBA from University of Chicago. He served as a School Board member for District 149-Dolton, IL; POA Board member for Courtyards of Meadowbrook; and a longtime member of the Wooden Shoe Rainmaker Camping Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to PanCan-Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Private Funeral Services entrusted to Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services., Lowell.
