Gingerich. - Susannah, daughter of the late Nicholas and Veronica (Gascho) Wagler, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., March 15, 1877; died at her home, in Baden, Ont., Sept. 28, 1949; aged 72 y. 6 m. 13 d. On March 20, 1900, she was united in marriage to Aaron Gingerich, who predeceased her Feb. 1, 1942. Surviving are 2 sons (Isaiah, Wilmot, Ont.; Elmer, Baden.) 4 daughters (Lavina, at home; Emma-Mrs. Chris O. Erb, Wellesley, Ont.; Laura-Mrs. Isaac Ruby, Tavistock, Ont.; and Mabel-Mrs. Henry Wagler, Shakespeare, Ont.), 16 grandchildren, one brother (Menno Wagler, Baden, Ont.), and one sister (Mrs. Rebecca Bender, New Hamburg, Ont.). One grandchild and one sister (Mrs. David R. Bender) preceded her in death. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour and became a faithful member of the Steinman A.M. Church near Baden. In failing health the last year, from a heart condition she spent much of her time reading God's Word. Death followed a three-day illness. Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at her home by Ben Gingerich and at the Steiman Church by Peter Nafziger and Moses O. Jantzi. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
