Dr. Hills became a physician while living in Ohio. Came to Covington poor and amassed a large practice and died wealthy. Devoted his life to medicine, never married. Member of the Indiana State Medical Association, which held its first meeting in 1849.
Dr. Hills became ill with bladder and prostate cancer late in life ans sought medical attention from as far as New York City.
