Marie Clark, age 96 of Eastlake, MI died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Nancy’s House in Manistee.
She was born on September 7, 1924 in Chicago, IL daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Pekarick) Stec. Marie married Albert Joseph Clark on May 23, 1942 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Free Soil. They celebrated over 61 years of marriage together before his death on February 20, 2004. Marie was employed as a Dietician at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility until her retirement at the age of 62. In their retirement, Marie and Albert enjoyed traveling around the United States of America. Marie enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center, sewing and reading in her spare time. She also enjoyed once a month getting together with a group of her lady friends to share a meal together at a local restaurant.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Larry Sandberg, two sons & a daughter-in-law, Richard & Joyce Clark and Ellis “Bud” Clark all of Eastlake, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and her sister-in-law Kay Stec of Manistee. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kimberly Clark and by her brother John S. Stec.
Cremation has taken place and due to the Covid-19 restrictions private family graveside services will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
