Larry was a very kind and loving person. He graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School in 1976, and from there he joined the United States Army to serve our country. When he returned home he worked for South Bend Community School Corporation for 20 plus years until his illness.
Leaving to cherish his memory a son, Little Larry Patterson Jr.; three grandkids: Larissa Patterson, Lanyah Patterson and Joseph Patterson; a sister, Paula Patterson of South Bend, Indiana; a brother, Ivory Patterson of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Linda Patterson, Jessie Mae Gatson, Frances Mae Patterson, Bernice Smith; and two nieces: Celeste Phillips and Chaundra Guiden.
