John Errett, formerly well known in Pittsburg and Western Pennsylvania, is dead at his home in Los Angeles, Cal., according to information received by his brother, William R. Errett, of the Safe Deposit and Trust Company of this city. Mr. Errett had made his home in Los Angeles for several years. Mr. Errett was born in this city, the son of the late Russel [sic] Errett, who once represented this district in Congress, and Phoebe Errett. He spent the greater part of his life while he lived in this district as a resident of Carnegie, where he was engaged in the contracting business. He is survived by his brother, William R. Errett, of Carnegie, and three sisters, Mrs. Harriet E. Ford, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. L. R. Curtiss and Mrs. Kate Roberts, of Carnegie. [The Pittsburg Press (Pennsylvania), Sun., 24 Jul 1910]

An autopsy on the body of John Errett, who dropped dead in Broadway Friday, was held yesterday. It revealed that death was due to natural causes, and the coroner signed a certificate to that effect. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Naomi avenue Christian church. Interment will be in Hollywood cemetery. [Los Angeles Herald (California), Sun., 24 Jul 1910]
