She was born January 26, 1942, in Monroe County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Claude and Ruby Kinley Virt.
A homemaker, Mrs. Johnson enjoyed arts and crafts, painting and spending time with her family and dogs Boo and Bucky.
Surviving are a son, Jim Johnson (Crystal) of Cokeburg; five grandchildren, Allyson, Jayden, Scotty, Shayn and Danny; three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Logan and Austin; special niece, Janet; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Gerald Johnson, and two brothers, Tom and Bill Virt.
