Obituary of Joan B. Allen
Joan B. Allen, age 86, of Thornton, PA, formerly of Melrose, MA, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was a graduate of Melrose High School and Boston University.

Joan enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. She loved entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cooking. Joan was a talented seamstress and made beautiful clothing for her grandchildren. She loved vacationing at Stone Harbor, NJ. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late Gordon and Ethel (Chamberlain) Blood, mother of the late Linda Granbois, and grandmother of the late Paul Martin Allen, II.
Survivors:

Husband of 65 years: Phillip B. Allen

Son: Paul M. (Patrice) Allen

Daughter: Virginia (Kenneth) Bussey

Grandchildren: Tamara Allen, Megan Allen, John Bogulski and Cari Bogulski

Great-Grandchildren: Haley Allen, Brielle Allen and Connor Anderson

Sister: Barbara Abbott

Nieces: Jenny Anne Williams, Debbie Bustock, Kathy Piotto

Nephew: David Abbott

Visitation: Wednesday, January 27th after 10:30AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. # 352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 27th at 11:30AM at the funeral home.
Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery.
