He was stricken ill May 30 with typhoid fever and rushed to the Deaconess Hospital, Louisville, where medical care failed and he passed away June 4th. He was a substantial citizen of Meade County, having lived here all his life. He worked on the State Highway the past eleven years. He was a loyal friend, a kind and loving husband and father.

He leaves his wife Alice; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Brown and a son, Hayward Trent of Louisville and Lacy Jr and Alvin Trent of Brandenburg and five step-children. Overton, Ruby, and Richard Blair of Louisville. Mr. Fred Brown of Chicago, Ill. and Gordon Blair of Guston, Ky: three brothers and four sisters and a host of other relatives.

We take the opportunity to express our thanks to Dr. Earl Blair, Rev Calvin Smith, the Highway Department and the donors of beautiful floral offerings. Also our friends and neighbors who stood by us through his illness and death. He will be greatly missed by his frinds and loved ones. Oh Daddy dear how we miss you, our years together were few. You can not come to us, but we can come to you. WIFE AND CHILDREN
