George Hughie Turner was born in Rice, Texas, on June 26, 1933, and passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2020, surrounded by his family. He attended Forest Avenue High School in Dallas, Texas. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he began his lengthy career in the Commercial Insurance Industry and later a Sales Representative for Motor Manuals. George was a lifelong amateur magician and loved classic cars and family gatherings. He was a prankster with an epic sense of humor. He enjoyed watching the Houston Astros baseball, attending grandchildren activities, and senior day bus trips. George was an accomplished crossword puzzle expert and avid user of technological devices. Most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, two daughters and one son.
