The son of Delvin and Loneta “Lonnie” (Waters) Gardner was born Feb. 10, 1962, at Imperial. He was baptized at St. Mathew’s Lutheran Church, Meadow Grove, and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Osmond.
He graduated from Osmond High School in 1981.
He married Kim Bowling Sept. 12, 1981, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Foster. They lived in Norfolk. They moved to Pierce in 1985.
Randy worked at Lynn Gubbels at Osmond, Super 8 in Norfolk and Nebraska Boxed Beef. In 1991, he started at Vulcraft in Norfolk and had been there for 20 years. Randy enjoyed his granddaughters, family, hunting, four-wheeling, golfing. He always helped anyone in need. He had battled colon cancer the last three years.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pierce.
Survivors are wife Kim Gardner of Pierce; one daughter, Megan and husband Peter Tuttle of Pierce; one son, Travis and wife Sara Gardner of Pierce; four granddaughters; parents Delvin and Loneta “Lonnie” Gardner of Osmond; one brother, Rick and wife Bette Gardner of Osmond; two sisters, Ronda and husband Clark Nelsen of Norfolk, Brenda and husband Neil Wattier of Osmond; grandmother Edna Gardner of Imperial.
He was preceded in death by sister Cristi Green, grandparents Harry and Thema Waters, James Calvin Gardner and chemo friend Delorse Bahns.
