Memorial services Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Dr. David Hartman, pastor of First Christian Church, Wichita Falls, Texas, officiating. A private disposition will be under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Parents William Grady Short and Corrie Belle Malone Short.
Married Mary Joyce Butts on December 29, 1951 in Burkburnett, Texas.
1944 Graduate of Texarkana High School.Attended Texarkana Junior College prior to serving in the U.S.Navy from April 1945-June 1946.
Graduated from Baylor Law School December of 1949.
1950-openned Law Office in Burkburnett. Assistant County Attorney of Wichita County from 1952-1955;appointed County Attorney and held position until 1965.
Private practice from 1965-retirement 1996.
Baptist and member of the County and State Bar Associations.
Preceded in Death by parents and a brother Warren G. Short.

Survived by wife; daughter, Deborah Kegley(Steven) of Wichita Falls; sons, Larry Short(Jeanmarie)of Sugarland, Texas and Clint Short(Carolyn) of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Mavis Aileen Ferguson of Texarkans, Texas; brother Dale Short(Dorothy)of Rolling Hills Estates, Calif; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
