George Harvey, Jr. age 93, of Annona, passed away, Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Ponderosa Nursing Home in De Kalb. He was born, August 17, 1927, in Boxelder to George and Dora Mae Bishop Harvey, Sr.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a Deacon and longtime member of the Annona First Baptist Church. His parents and his siblings preceded him in death. George Harvey married Betty Burrow on August 19, 1950, in Boxelder.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Betty Harvey of Annona; 2 daughters, Marilyn Alsup of Annona and Melinda Troxell and husband, Jerry of Avery; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at Garland Cemetery with Rev. Paul Burkhalter and Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Covid-19 regulations apply.
