Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Morrow; daughter, Stacey Morrow Lockhart; parents, Carlton D. and Mary Crews Park; and brother, William “Bill” Park.
Nancy was a native of Columbia, Tenn. A 1959 graduate of Columbia High School, she attended David Lipscomb College (now Lipscomb University) in Nashville, Tenn. It was here she first flirted with Paul. They married on August 25, 1962, and were together 57 years.
Nancy was, in a word, fun. She was an over-the-top decorator, instigator of practical jokes, perpetrator of grand-slam insults, player of all kinds of games, embellisher of stories, and a passionate advocate for all the animals.
An avid gardener, she spent her summers planting, weeding, and watering. Her home was awarded “Yard of the Month” on several occasions. Winters were dedicated to holiday decorating. Her knack for transforming everything she touched into a Christmas wonderland put Southern Living to shame.
Nancy and Paul were a great team. They co-owned Morrow Book Service, were active with the Central Church in Benton and loved to entertain in their home.
Nancy was “the cool mom.” She was a room mother, chaperone, Bible class teacher, Girl Scout leader, etc. And she was an amazing Nana to her grandchildren, spoiling them rotten in every way possible.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Morrow (David) England of Nashville; sister-in-law Judi Doty of Benton; and four grandchildren, Kacey (Mike) Darling of Paducah, Ky., Lindsay Lockhart (Jerad) Frazier of Benton; Kevin (Maddy) Reynolds of St. Louis, Mo.; and Parker (Rachael) Lockhart, Bellevue, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren, Mayah, Charlotte, and Cohen.
Private graveside services will be held in the Benton Cemetery, Benton, Ky. Collier Funeral Home, Benton, is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be directed to the Marshall County (Kentucky) Humane Society.
