John Chester Sanderson, son of John Sanderson Sr. and Julia Sanderson, was born on September 5, 1945 in Mobile, AL.

He briefly attended Mary Hill Seminary in Alexandria, LA before deciding to change paths and attend the University of South Alabama, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and later became a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Sanderson proudly served in the United States Army Reserve as a Transportation Specialist and was honorably discharged following the completion of his service. Mr. Sanderson made his home in Harvey, LA, and continued his work in accounting, assisting friends and clients alike.

Mr. Sanderson passed peacefully on January 16, 2021, at or around 5:30AM.

He is survived by his wonderful wife, Theresa Sanderson, his three sons, Nicholas Sanderson, Shawn Sanderson, Shannon Gafford, and his granddaughter, Demi Sanderson. In addition, Mr. Sanderson leaves behind a slew of family, friends, and colleagues, he made during his wonderful 75 years of life.

Funeral services for Mr. Sanderson will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, located at 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey, LA. Visitation will be begin on January 22, 2021, between the hours of 2:00PM and 4:00PM. Final visitation will take place on January 23, 2021, between the hours of 12:00PM and 1:30PM, which will be followed by a mass at the funeral home. The funeral services will conclude with a procession leading to Restlawn Park Cemetery, where Mr. Sanderson will be laid to rest and ushered into eternal life by his loving friends and family.
