SARAH ANN (DANIELS) HARMON, 77 years of age of the Homecreek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.

Born in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Berdie (Johnson) Daniels. She was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Harmon; her former husband, Verlin Scarberry; Sisters: Geraldine Kinder and Linda Scarberry; Daughter-in-Law: Joyce Ann Scarberry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Thersa Elaine (Kurt) Buech of Grundy, VA, Terry Verlin Scarberry of Grundy, VA, Pam McCracken of Hurley, VA; Grandchildren: Amanda (Josh) Shafer of Grundy, VA, Shannon (Amanda) Scarberry of Grundy, VA, Jennifer Dotson of Wheelersburg, OH, Candes Dotson of Mobile, Al; Great-Grandchildren: Hayden Shafer, Brennan Shafer and Kyndal Shafer; 1-Brother: Ted Daniels of Hurley, VA; Half-Brothers: Larry Justus, Steve Justus and Jeff Justus.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews, including Special Niece: Wanda Scarberry.

Graveside Services for SARAH ANN (DANIELS) HARMON will be conducted Friday, January 22, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA, with Tommy Conn officiating with burial to follow.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

We will be taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. In an effort to minimize direct contact, we ask that you consider avoiding shaking hands or physical contact with the members of the family or other guests. Direct Eye Contact, Loving Words, and a Warm Smile can be as meaningful to the families as a traditional handshake or hug, especially during these difficult times. Face masks or coverings are required and practicing social distancing.
