Lake City- Larry James Gibson, 67, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

He was born June 20, 1953 in Jonesboro to the late J.D. and Maxine Gibson. He served proudly in the Arkansas National Guard. Larry retired from RGB where he was a foreman for many years. He loved time with his family, being outdoors, doing yardwork, gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a selfless man who enjoyed a simple life.

He is survived by his wife, Karalee Gibson; three sisters, Shirley Gibson, Deloros Gibson and Mary “Kay” Gibson all of Lake City; two brothers, Ronnie Gibson (Linda) and Terry Gibson both of Jonesboro; a sister-in-law, Alma Gibson of Indiana; a brother-in-law, Thomas McFarlin of Monette; special nephew and nieces, Michael McFarlin, Melinda Wells (Brice) and Patricia Duffel (Phillip) all of Monette and several other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, L. D. Gibson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland with Kevin Griffin and Phillip Duffel speaking.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his nephews.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
