Note: There is a mistake on her tombstone - for some reason there was disagreement over her birth date when she passed away and the stone was engraved with the incorrect one. On her death certificate, June 1849 is the birth date that was initially written. However, someone crossed that out and changed it to Feb. 23 1846. The 1846 date is the one actually on the stone.
Based on the knowledge that she was about 3 months old September 19, 1850 (census) and her brother Gillis (b. 1847) was over the years always listed as an older sibling, I believe that the original 1849 date is actually correct.
To confuse matters more, on the 1900 census, her birth month is recorded as February. The year is recorded as 1849.
