Janice was born August 19,1960 in the city of Philadelphia to Lenon and Pearline Alford. Janice was the youngest of 4 children, and received Christ at an early age under the pastorate of Pastor GayBrella McClellan at El-Bethel church of Christ in Camden N.J. She later attended Morning Star Pentecostal church under the pastorate of Pastor C. Brewer and then the family connected membership with St. James Apostolic Temple under the pastorate of Bishop Joseph Scott. Later she served as an usher at the New Covenant Fellowship Church for 2 months to a year.

Janice received her education in the Camden School System. She enjoyed participating in learning sewing in her class at the Vocational Technical School. She also studied Early Childhood classes at Camden County College, Blackwood New Jersey.

Janice was joined in holy matrimony to Kurtis Adams on May 19,2000. Janice later pursued a career as a Dietary Aide and was employed for 30 years at: Cooper River Nursing home West in Pennsauken, N.J and was also employed at Jefferson Hospital.

Janice will be remembered as a devoted Mother toward her sons, a devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother to her family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She leaves to cherish memories to her husband of 21 years Kurtiss Adams, her Children Andre L. Alford and Shawn Alford. Two sisters: Paula Peterson and Mary Alford, two brothers: Anthony Alford and Eugene L. Alford. Two grandchildren: Daiknow R. Alford: One great grandchild, Ahmaya. Nephews Lenon and Levy Peterson, Latora Alford, Latoya Scott, Jessica Alford and Enchanta Peterson. Great Nephews: Jahmir A. Hall, Jayden Hall, Jayden L. Forde, Abrielle, and Jelena. A devoted Friend Lucy. And a devoted Aunt Joan. A Loving cousin: Chery Stevens, and a host of family and friends.
