Esther A. Williams, 94, of Mt. Vernon passed away Sunday morning January 17, 2021 in Fairfield. Esther was born in Bonnie, IL on May 30, 1926 the daughter of Dexter & Mary J. (Dial) Whisenhunt. She married Claud W. Williams on June 9, 1946 at the Bonnie Church of God, and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2008. Mrs. Williams attended the First Free Will Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Williams was in retail sales all her life. She is survived by her: 2 Sons: Paul Williams & wife Linda of Mt. Vernon Lyle Williams & wife Angela of Sierra Vista, AZ 3 Step-Grandsons: Jimmy, David & James 1 Step-Great-Grandson: Blaze 1 Step-Great-Great- Grandson: Pearson 1 Sister: Dicy Fagan of Fort Worth, TX Nephew: Robert Lowery & wife Vera of Bonnie Nephew: Leon Lowery Mt. Vernon Nephew: Ernie Queen & wife Karen of Indiana Nephew: Michael Queen & wife Montine of Fort Worth, TX Nephew: Bruce Queen & wife Lyla of Cabot, AR Niece: Jan Lancaster & husband Ron of Derby, KS Niece: Shirley Guthrie & husband Raymond of Derby, KS Niece: Mary Elliston of Derby, KS Several Great-Nieces & Great-Nephews Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister-Evelyn Lowery. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20th at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with Bro. David Shores officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina.
