ARLINGTON -- Lucille M. Matthews, a vibrant, witty and intelligent lady, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2018 in Arlington.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, 911 S. Davis Drive, Arlington. There will be a reception after the service with cookies and punch for family and friends to share memories of an incredible woman who will be missed deeply.
INURNMENT: Anna Lucille Marshall Matthews will rest beside her beloved husband, Frank at St. Alban's.
MEMORIALS: Donations in Lucille's name may be made to St. Alban's Anglican Church.
Lucille was born in Waco, Texas to William and Anna Amelia Grochoske Marshall, on June 26, 1930. After graduating from Waco High School, Lucille attended college in Wisconsin and Washington, D. C. She met the true love of her life, Frank M. Matthews, and they married on February 2, 1955 and had one son, Frank Morris Matthews, Jr. Lucille retired from the General Services Administration and American Airlines. She had dedication and love for her church, St. Alban's. She leaves many with delightful memories of this energetic woman who in addition to loving and caring for her family and friends loved dogs. Lucille and Frank had many canine friends over their lifetimes. Lucille was preceded in death by the love of her life, Frank M. Matthews; and her brother, William G. Marshall.
SURVIVORS: Her devoted caregiver and son, Frank Morris Matthews, Jr.; cousin, Marcus Black; and adored niece, Carla Marshall.
