Born Friday, May 2, 1947 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Mildred M. (Miller) Herring.
Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she loved her family and cherished spending time with them, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Nancy was a member of the McSherrystown Moose and enjoyed playing bingo, going out to eat and playing the lottery.
Mrs. Stottlemyer is survived by two children, Robin M. (Gilbert) Sheely of Hanover, Jon R. Gilbert and his fiancé Nickol Williams of East Berlin; five grandchildren, Brett “Reckless” Small and wife Erin Underwood, McKenzie Sheely, Erika Sheely, Sabrina Reichard, Jaxsyn Stottlemyer; five great grandchildren, Braelynn, Brooklynn, Rielynn, Maddex, Dominic and Remedy; two siblings Shirley Huff of New Oxford, Barry Herring of New Oxford an many other loving extended family members and friends. Nancy is also survived by her loving dog, Lucky.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Roy Herring.
A service to celebrate the life of Nancy will be held with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.
