HAMILTON, Elizabeth "Jean" age 88 passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Jamestown Place. She was born at home in Sabina, Ohio to the late Sam and Bertha (Newland) Hilderbrand. In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bud Hamilton as well as her seven siblings: Buck, Kenny, Edgar, Catherine, Dorothy, Viola, and JoAnn. Jean and Bud were blessed with two children, Robert "Skeeter" & Cindy Hamilton and Marsha & Craig Burgess; five grandchildren: Carrie (Thomas) Davis, Jared (Shannon) Hamilton, Nathan (Afton Hiles) Hamilton, Rebbecca (Aaron) Sule, and Joseph (Amanda) Loos; twelve great-grandchildren: Chase, Gavin, Brooklynn, Noah, Lily, Tannor, Layla, Lucas, Daegan, Haley, Rowan and Micah. Jean is also survived by her sister, Judy Pence and numerous nieces & nephews. Jean was known for her excellent cooking skills and gravy was a staple at every meal. Her ability to nurture and make flowers grow was unmatched, her late husband was known to say "Jean could stick a broomstick in the ground and make it grow." She loved her family fiercely and was always the protective mama bear. Jean will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME,104 N Jackson St, Sabina, OH 45169, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with a celebration of her life beginning at 12:00 noon.
