Funeral services will be held 4:00PM Saturday, January 23, 2021at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Rodney Raby officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Spears was born October 1, 1944 in Wilkes County to Wayne Spears and Grace Minton. He retired from Singer furniture Factory in Lenoir after more than 40 years of service.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Naomi Church Spears; two sons; Charles Brian Spears and Kenneth Dywane Spears.
Mr. Spears is survived by a son; Douglas Wayne Spears and wife; Ruthuline of Millers Creek; five grandchildren; Christopher Spears and wife Crystal, Kala Spears and spouse Michael Eller, Savannah Kilby, Ashley Spears, Logan Spears and wife Alyssa; two great grandchildren; Ally Eller and Leah Spears.
