Roy Dale Barnes, age 59 of Cosby, TN passed away Monday morning January 18, 2021 at home in Jones Cove. Roy loved working at Sevier County Healthcare in Sevierville for more than 10 years. He also enjoyed working at home on the farm, having cookouts at the barn, and going to the mountains.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Dixie Acosta; stepmom, Brenda Barnes; brother, Bobby Barnes; son-in-law, Adam Carpenter; and grandfather, Ottis Barnes.
Roy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Renea Barnes; son, Travis Barnes and wife Tina, and grandbaby on the way; daughter, Felicia Carpenter and Nick; grandsons, Brayden, Mason, Devin, and Preston; father, Dale Barnes; sister, Donna Barnes and special friend Jenni Levan; half-brother, Billy; half-sisters, Martha and Shelia; sister-in-law, Tammie Huff; special cousin, Rick Barnes; special friends, Dale Parton and Andrew Whaley; lots of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
