She was the daughter of the late Lonnie B. and Georgia Mae Peterson Johnson. She was married to the late Sinclair Bennett, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Johnny Bennett (Affie); two brothers, Norman Johnson (Katherine) and Lawrence G. Johnson; and two sisters, Eloise Simmons and Peggy Gilmore. She was survived by son, Sinclair Bennett, Jr.; three daughters, Trumilla Kirk (Leo), Joyce George (Aldwyn), and Cynthia Bennett-Walker (Anthony); 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Margie Hailey (Earl) and Betty Brewington (Willie).
