Forward: By Anita Parker

May this little book one day be read by someone I’ve loved when I have departed.

Poetic not I, these reflections from me only taps from the heart just glimpses you see.

Hope, sorrow, gladness and fear are expressed in these pages from childhood years.

A look within as I take pen in hand expressing my thoughts as only I can.

Anita was born in Kansas City MO August 22, 1924. She married Kenneth Parker in 1944. She had an active part in her husband’s Air Force career as a military spouse in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. They were married 59 years and lived in the U.S. and Japan.

Anita worked in the banking industry for many years. Her outside interests were many, sewing, piano, knitting and painting. She loved her short-waved radio. Her greatest passion was reading true history of WWII and had a bookcase full of survivor stories.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon Hall and Deborah Heuertz, her son In-laws, William Hall and Stephen Heuertz, 4 generations of family. 5 Grandchildren, Jeff Hall, William Hall Jr., Lisa Hall Thomas, Brian Wright and Kristina Cornelius. 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Children Baptist Home.
