Richard C Shelton, 93, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle. Mr. Shelton was born in Richmond, VA on January 3, 1928, son of Charles H. and Marguerite E. (Trimmer) Shelton.

Richard proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was a dedicated milkman for Pensupreme Dairy and Rutters Dairy, where he retired. He loved sports and was one of York County's best basketball players in his younger years. He loved family, friends, watching sports and he lived life to the fullest.

Surviving are his children, Melissa Shelton-Sprenkle and husband, Alvin of Lewistown, Richard Shelton Jr. and wife, Holly of York, and Robert Shelton and wife, Marcee of Lewistown; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Summers and Gloria Kraut, both of York.
