Mr. Johnson entered eternal rest on Monday, January 18, 2021 in Lecompte, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Johnson was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He owned and operated Johnson's Automotive for several years. He loved his family, loved dirt track racing and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Mattie Johnson and a sister, Marilyn Basco.
Mr. Johnson is survived by two sons, Gilbert "Gillie" Johnson, Jr. and wife, Pamm and Brent Johnson and wife Hope; three grandchildren, Madilynn Johnson, Abigail Johnson and Valori Lemoine; two great-grandchildren, Jadin Basco and Kolton Thompson; two sisters, Donna Robbins and Diana Wells; a brother Brian Johnson and wife, Rocio and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
