Kelly grew up in Chicago and Wisconsin where he received his formal education. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1961, served in Vietnam, and retired in 1981 with an Honorable Discharge with the rank of TSGT. He married his best friend Nancy Elaine Wallace on March 15, 1985 in Oklahoma City. Kelly spent his civilian years as a boat mechanic, before retiring to the lake life. He was a member of Keystone Hills Baptist Church in Sand Springs, OK. He enjoyed the lake, fishing, and was well versed in woodworking. His passion in life was his family. He leaves a legacy of honor, love and devotion. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Kelly is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy; daughters, Joann Greene, Deann Koger and Melody Brewer; his grandchildren, Chelsea Carrier and Davon Koger.
In lieu of flowers, Kelly’s family request memorial contributions in Kelly’s name to the National VA or another Veterans program of your choice.
A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held 2PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK with Pastor Mark Bane officiating. Military honors will be observed.
