Sandra Jo Woody Burgess, age 75, of Karns, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was a retired nurse from Summit Medical Group. She was a member at Trinity Baptist Church in Karns. Sandra was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed planting flowers in her garden and sitting on the porch listening to her wind chimes. She spent a lot of time traveling and camping with her husband. Sandra wanted to share her faith with everyone she met. She even published two Christian based books, Wisdom Speaks and Its All About Him. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lila Woody. Survivors include; husband, Robert L. Burgess; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Carol Burgess; grandson, Robbie Burgess and his wife Kaitlyn Burgess; great-grandson, Anthony Burgess; brother, Lynn Woody; special cousins, Linda and Mike Meredith as well as several other cousins. Family will receive friends Friday at Weavers Chapel from 4:00-7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet Saturday at Lynch Bethel Cemetery at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 pm graveside service.
