"Mrs. Rose Mary Bookhagen, 78, of 1175 Tonawanda St., a Town of Tonawanda resident 43 years, died Wednesday at her home. Mrs. Bookhagen had a paralytic stroke on June 28 and died of complications from the illness.

Born at Farnham, she was the former Rose Mary Juhl. She was the widow of Edward W. Bookhagen, a former Semet Solvay Division employee and Union Free School District custodian. Mrs. Bookhagen was a member of the Women's Guild of St John United Church of Christ, Buffalo.

Survivors include five sons, Karl J., John E., Roy C., Glenn A., and David E. Bookhagen; two daughters, Mrs. William Wagner and Shirley A. Bookhagen; two brothers, Albert and John Juhl; two sisters, Mrs. Norman Bedient and Mrs. Grace Holden.

The Rev. George Roser will officiate at the funeral at 2 tomorrow afternoon at the Nagel Funeral Home, Buffalo. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery." Tonawanda NEWS, August 12, 1966
