Helena R. Jackson left to be with the Lord on December 18, 2020. She was born in Taft, Texas, on March 30, 1930, to Elijia T. Reyes and Salome Reyes.

She lived in Taft throughout her childhood. After her graduation from high school, she and her mother moved to Laredo. Throughout her life, she worked in the banking industry. In October of 1961, she married her beloved husband, John C. Jackson (deceased). Together they shared a life of happiness, travel, and adventure in various locations-in the U.S. and in U.S. territories (where Mr. Jackson served his country for 5 years as an Immigration and Naturalization Border Patrol and 25 years with the US Department of Treasury and Customs Service).

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two sisters, her brother, a niece, and a nephew.

Survivors include: Nieces-Elma L. (Eduardo) Gutierrez, Rosa L. (Roberto) Perez, Leticia L. (Feliciano), Imelda R. (Tom) Shane, Ileana R. (James) Boren, Patricia R. (Leopoldo) Huerta; nephews-Melvin C. (Peggy) Ramos, Calvin (JoAnna) Reyes, and Rudy (Mary) Reyes; several grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews and greatgrandnieces; Daughter-in-Law-Johnnie Maria Jackson (Jim) Ziats; two step-granddaughters, five step-great grandchildren, and one stepgreat-great granddaughter.

A short visitation is scheduled on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a rosary at 10:30 a.m., and interment at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission at 11:00 a.m. Services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel of Mission.
