Donald E. Harrelson, Age 86, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital in Siloam Springs Arkansas. He was born July 17, 1934 in Farmington Arkansas. He was the son of Floyd Leonard Harrelson and Elpha Elree Burris Harrelson.
He was preceded in death by his father Floyd Leonard Harrelson, Mother, Elpha Elree Burris Harrelson, one son, Floyd Leonard Harrelson, Five sisters. Carrie Stout, Lillian Day, Shirley Farmer, Thelma Pinkerton, Glenda Harrelson and One Brother John Harrelson.
He is survived by three sisters, Juanita Ferguson, Ina Walker, Bobbie Pinkerton one brother Roy Harrelson, two sons, Ronald Eugene Harrelson and Wife Andrea, Kendall Ray Harrelson and wife Pam, both of Gentry.
Seven grand kids, Kelly Capps, Aaron Harrelson and wife Aston, Justin Harrelson and wife Casey, Jason Harrelson and Marlana, Tierney Herbert, Morgan Julio and husband Mark, Donald Scott Harrelson and wife Aire.
Eight Great Grand Children, Holly McReynolds, Payton Harrelson, Mackinnley Harrelson, Drake Capps, Gage Capps, Journey Nowlin, Dominic Julio and Lucy Julio.
He attended Vaughn School in the small town of Vaughn. He was married to Mable May Bauer on March 26, 1959 in Miami, Oklahoma.
He devoted most of his life to law enforcement, working for Siloam Springs Police, Arkansas State Police, and Benton County Sheriff Department, gaining rank as Chief Deputy in the Criminal Investigating division (CID). Serving as a Detective.
Don truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of raising cows and spending time with his family that was always close by working on the farm. He was a son, a brother, a Father, a Grand Father, A Great Grandfather, and a Friend to all who knew him.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Don touched are invited to his viewing at Wasson Funeral Home, 441 US 412, Siloam Springs Arkansas, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 21, 2021. Funeral to be held 2:00 pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Wasson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Gentry, Arkansas.
