Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Beatrice Downs Copeland of RT. 2 Tremont were conducted Saturday afternoon at Lebanon Methodist Church with Bro. Rupert Powell and Bro. Billy Kay Senter officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Cemt. with Mcmillian Funeral directors in charge.
Mrs. Copeland passed away Friday at the Itawamba County Hospital, after being in failing health about 15 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church, a housewife and 68 years old. She leaves her husband Dave Copeland of Tremont; A daugther Mrs Louise Glissen of Tremont; A brother Byron Downs of Wheeler; Two sister Mrs. Jack Bishop (Rachel] OF Rienzi, ,and Mrs. Robert Wilson (Essie) of Dorsey and four grand children; Marvin Keith Glissen, Kimball M. Glissen, Glenda Irene Glissen and Brenda Glissen,
She was preceded in death by her parents; George Washington Downs and Martha B. Harrelson Downs; Her grandparents; Enoch James Garrison Downd and Rachel Maud Smith, and William A. Harrelson and Mary Matilda McDonald Harrelson.
She was named after her grandmother Rachel Maud Smith Downs.
