Nora Lee Jackson, age 87, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center in Lee’s Summit, MO on January 15, 2021.
She was born March 26, 1933, in Cass City, Michigan, and is the daughter of James A. Nickerson and Leotta Abigail (Deneen) Nickerson. Mrs. Jackson had lived in Warrensburg for the last 55 years, were she work and retired from Central Missouri State University.
Nora was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them, she especially loved her role as grandma.
Survivors include her two siblings Barbara Ciesielski and James D. Nickerson Jr; two sons: Danny Schroeder Sr and Randy Jackson; six daughters: Nancy Roberson, Mary Crawford, Jackie Stewart, Margaret Putnam, Donna Evens, and PJ Jackson; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty- two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garhald “Jack” Jackson, her sons Brian and Raymond Jackson, her father and mother, and (six brothers and sisters).
Funeral services will be held at Sweeney-Phillips funeral home, Warrensburg, Missouri on Thursday, January 21,2021 at 11:00 am.
Chaplain Ryan Murray will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Danny Schroeder, Brian Schroeder, David Jackson, Brad Ketelsen, Kenneth Jackson, Robert Jackson, Kevin Dunlap, and Cole Schulte
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left in the care of the funeral home.
