Gregory Scottie Rowe, 52 years of age of Raven, VA, formerly of Hurley, VA, departed this life Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born January 26, 1968 in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Wanda Justus Rowe of Hurley, VA, and the late Cloyd Rowe.
Gregory enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was of the Church of God faith. A loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bradley and Shannon Rowe, and grandparents Troy and Alice Rowe and Earl and Linnie Justus.
Survivors in addition to his mother Wanda Justus Rowe of Hurley, VA, include his son Joshua Gregory Rowe of Belfast, VA; brothers Jerry Earl Rowe of Richlands, VA, Terry Rowe of Lexington, KY; grandchildren Joshua Robert Heath Rowe, Joseph Isaiah Rowe, and nephew Juston Rowe, sister-in-law Tammy Stevens.
He is also survived by a host of good friends and neighbors, many thanks to them all, for the rides, bringing him food, stopping in to check on and visit with him. The family wishes to extend a special thanks for everything, God bless you.
Funeral service for Gregory Scottie Rowe will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 12:00 noon with Pastors Darrell Davis and Edgar Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Dan Blankenship Cemetery on Lick Branch Road, Hurley, VA.
Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.
