Raymond loved to compete in athletic competitions. He competed in the National Diving trials for the Olympics when he was 14 years old. Ray was an avid golfer who enjoyed 7 holes-in-one, one of them being a hole-in-one on a par four, during his 60 years of golfing. He enjoyed any sport that involved a ball. Ray instilled the love of sports in all five of his children.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest daughter; Catherine and oldest son, Lawrence. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of forty years; Patty, his daughter, Connie (Wes) Wesolowski, his son; Timothy (Eileen) Rodgers, his daughter; Cynthia (Mark) Lecher, and 3 step-children; Phillip Schöneberger, Mike (Julia) Schöneberger, and LuAnn (Mark) Shupe along with 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. There was a friend that he always considered his daughter, because of the care she had given him, Jeannine (Sadat) Miller.
