Marleen was born in Genoa, Nebraska on April 25, 1945 to Reverend Hugh & Evelyn Wolkow, the second of four girls. Serving as pastors of the Church of God, the Wolkow family joined several churches in Nebraska, Washington and Oregon. Music was always a part of Marleen’s life, starting early with the family singing as a quintet led by Hugh, and playing the piano and cello as early as the fourth grade. Marleen met her former husband, Floyd Davis, while attending Warner Pacific College in Portland, OR. They married June 7, 1966 and went on to have two children, Tanya and Joanne.
After graduating from Warner Pacific College in 1967, Marleen became a lifetime teacher beginning with elementary school and eventually starting her own piano studio. She continued to make a difference in the lives of students, teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School as well as private students until March of 2020. She wrote this message for all she touched with her music as well as her life: Remember me when you hear music. But remember the music most of all. Don’t weep for me. I’ll be enjoying the music in heaven. I have enjoyed your friendships and your music.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tanya (Kyler) and Joanne (Randy), two sisters, LaRene (Glen) and LaDonna (Wayne) and three grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Marleen loved the Lord and her music was also her ministry. She loved her students and she was loved by many others. Marleen's sweet smile and positive attitude will be missed greatly.
"The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation." (Psalm 145:18-19)

NOTE: I'm not absolutely sure that Marlene is buried here, but her name is on with her sister Arletta's tombstone.
