Patrick Demond Owens was born April 30, 1984 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Freddie Mae Butler and Johnny Minor.

He accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of New Hope COGIC. Patrick was a 2002 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. He attended ABC Beauty College and later received his cosmetology license from Washington Barber College in 2015. He perfected his skill and was a sought after barber in town.

Patrick was a former employee of both Burger King and Fish Net Restaurant.

“PO” was that cool, laid-back friend who was in tune with the latest trends and music. His favorite artist was Moneybagg Yo. He enjoyed football and basketball, but his greatest times were spent playing volleyball with his family on Sundays. He was the best spike of volleyball leading his team to win championships.

During all of his thirty-six seasons, he made friends across race, gender, and faith. On December 22, 2020, he passed from time into eternity.

He was preceded in passing by his father, Johnny Minor and his grandfather, Fred Owens.

He leaves his son, Jontavious McGhee of Waterloo, IA; he parents, Freddie and Wesley Butler; his bonus father, Johnny Wells all of Arkadelphia; his grandmother, Mae Francis Owens; his siblings, Latoya Wells, Aisha Gray, Tamara Smith, Wendy Johnson, Kenneth Lewis, Jr., and Kevin Lewis; aunts and uncles, Curley Henderson of Sparkman, AR, Odessa Matlock (Terrance) Of Arkadelphia, AR, Flora Reed (Austin) of Arkadelphia, Fred Owens (Meredith) of Arkadelphia, AR, Frederick Owens (Shelane) of Camden, AR, and William Owens of Arkadelphia, AR and a bonus uncle, Jonnie Smith of Gurdon, AR. He also leaves a special cousin, Shaquaya Jones, numerous cousins and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be shared at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Piney Grove Cemetery with Superintendent Robert Davis, officiating and Rev. Llewellyn E. Terry, Sr., eulogist. Friends and family are asked to wear red and black to commemorate his service. Pallbearers will be William Owens, Antonino Owens, Derick L. Owens, Terrell Butler, Kenneth Jones, Jonnie Smith and JayQawn Flemons.
