Eddie Lee Todd was born to the union of Eddie Todd, Jr., and Dora Jefferson Todd on December 19, 1949, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was a 1967 graduate of Peake High School and was a graduate of Henderson State University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

In 1972, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1974. Eddie worked as a supervisor for Levi Strauss, manager of Rent-A-Center, a dispatcher for a trucking firm until his retirement. He met and married Linda E. Newborn on June 12, 1993, and their blended family included two sons named Jacques.

Eddie was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Men Choir. He also volunteered at the Second Baptist Childcare Center.

“Todd” as he was affectionally called by his wife, was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys football fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed the company of his family and close friends. He loved to entertain, be entertained, and particularly loved the competition associated with dominoes, cards, playing poker, and the hilarious bragging rights stemming from his wins. Above all, Todd will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family and friendship.

After a long valiant fight, Eddie surrendered his soul on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Todd, Jr. (March 28, 1991) and Dora Mary Ellen Jefferson Todd (November 28, 2016); and two brothers, Charles “D. J. Magic” Todd (August 25, 1992) and Carl “Punk” Todd (December 17, 2002).

Though he is no longer with us in the body; his irreplaceable presence will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda Todd of Little Rock, AR; two sons, Jacques Todd of Pensacola, FL and Jacques Ware of Little Rock, AR; three grandchildren, Andre Ware, Ladanian Ware, and Grace Bradford; his siblings, Callie Griffith of Arkadelphia, Marshall (Randy) Quarles of Dalark, AR, Levon (Tammy) Todd of Rockford, IL, Clayton Todd of Little Rock, AR, Lisa Todd of Arkadelphia, AR, Iya Todd of Atlanta, GA and Roeshelle Knox of Arkadelphia, AR. He also leaves many nieces and nephews; other relatives, especially the company of his friends, Rufus Hudspeth, Stan Hunter, Andy Benson, Cletis Coleman, and Glenn Anderson, as well as, other friends.
