Retired TSgt. Gerald Fitzgerald, 74, of Panama City Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 in a local nursing home. He was born in Jamaica Queens, NY on July 2, 1944 to Dennis Joseph Fitzgerald and Mary Rest Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald retired as a TSgt. from the United States Air Force where he was a veteran of Vietnam. He was Catholic by faith and was very active in his church. He also umpired youth sports in Lynn Haven for many years. Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by his wife of 52 years, Renee B. Fitzgerald of Panama City Beach, FL; four children and many grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery with military honors accorded at graveside.
