Mrs. Frances Joan Quinn (neé Posedel), 87, passed away on December 12, 2020, at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo after a brief illness. She was a member of Saint Catherine's of Sienna Catholic Church. She worked at JC Penney in customer service for 20 years before retiring. Frances had a wide range of hobbies, including reading mystery books, scrapbooking, volunteering for Saint Basil's and Kaiser Permanente, and collecting knickknacks. Frances was a long-time resident of Vallejo. She graduated from Saint Vincent's High School in 1952. Following her marriage, she lived at the same address for 65 years. Frances is predeceased by her grandparents, John Ryan and wife Margaret Hurley Ryan, Joseph Posedel and wife Johanna Rakonik Posedel; parents, Joseph Frank Posedel and Mary Margaret Ryan Posedel; husband of 33 years, Gene Wiley Quinn; sons, Patrick Joseph Quinn, Daniel Edward Quinn, and Kevin Eugene Quinn; sister, Patricia Louise Morris (neé Posedel); granddaughter, Nicole Denee Sandoval-Quinn; and one great-granddaughter, Niamh Martha Moorehead. She is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen Backus of Columbia, MO, Maureen Frances Quinn of Vallejo, CA, and Colleen Elizabeth Kay, also of Vallejo; son, Michael Allen Quinn of American Canyon, CA; brothers, Joseph Frank Posedel of Vacaville, CA, John William Posedel of Sacramento, CA, and Charles Leslie Posedel of Rodeo, CA. she is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Kevin Daniel Quinn, Kelly Frances Quinn, Kylie Leeanne Quinn, Bobbyharris Eugene Quinn, Isaac Daniel Quinn, Janina Elise Moorehead (neé Quinn,) Jeremiah Eugene Quinn, Elizabeth Ann Quinn, Kirk Wesley Backus, Robert Eugene Backus, Edward James Quinn, Cameron Kyle Quinn, Anthony Christopher Kay, Andrew Nicholas Kay, and Kolbe Quinn Kay; and ten great-grandchildren, Uiaria Jolie Quinn, Leyda Frances Quinn, Clementine Kaye Moorehead, Malachi Joel Backus, Declan Zechariah Backus, Gideon Judah Backus, Theodore Azariah Backus, Cassie-Lynne Kylie Quinn, Asher Anthony Kay, Andrew Nicholas (AJ) Kay Jr. Services will be held at a later date due to Covid-19 restrictions.
