He retired after 39 years from the Naval Air Station. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two sons, Roger David (Vanessa) Welch of Perdido, AL and Charles Anthony Welch of Perdido, AL; one daughter, Mary Smith of Perdido, AL; a granddaughter, Mystic Aquellia Pastorchick; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services and burial will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Bryars-McGill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
