Peacefully in hospital at Almonte on Saturday, March 2, 1996. Marj. Wilson of Almonte. Age 90 Years. Dearly loved wife of the late William H. Poole. Beloved mother of Mary (Mrs Russell Turner) of Almonte; Harry (Mary) and Jack (Mary) both of Nepean. Predeceased by her son, Edward and grandson, Stirling as well as 4 sisters, Mrs Mary Dolan, Mrs Charlotte Wilson, Mrs Frances Delahunt and Mrs Ethel Greene and 2 brothers, Reginald and Frank Wilson. Also survived by 4 granddaughters, Brenda, Christine, Lana and Catherine. Friends called at the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte. Then to St Paul's Anglican Church, Almonte on Tuesday of Service. Rev Rob Davis officiated. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery.

Marjorie Poole
Marjorie Poole (nee Wilson), a long-time resident of the Almonte area, died March 2 at the Almonte General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 90. She was born in Fitzroy Township in 1905 to the late Thomas and Jane Wilson. She also attended school there. She married the late William Poole in Fitzroy Harbour Oct 8, 1925. The couple raised two sons – Harry and Jack, now both of Nepean – and a daughter – Mary (Russell) Turner. Both boys married women named Mary. She was predeceased by one son Eddie. Rev Rob Davis of St Paul's Anglican Church and Rev George Bickley led the funeral service at C.R. Gamble Funeral Home's chapel on March 5. Interment will be at the Auld Kirk Cemetery in the spring. The pallbearers were Don Cochran, Claude Cochran, John Steele, Alvin Buck, Evertt Dolan and John Poole.
