Services for Janice Sue Allen, 79, of Gun Barrel City, will be held Wednesday, January 27, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Haufler officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday, February 2 at 9:00 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Janice was born December 27, 1941 in Anna to the late B.B. and Opal Bradshaw Murphree. She passed away January 18, 2021 in Tyler. Janice was a volunteer at the Fisher House in San Antonio, she loved growing flowers and working in her flowerbeds. She also loved crafts and making things out of plastic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Allen and her son, Jeffery Allen. She is survived by her daughter Alicia Allen, son, David Allen, daughter in law, Michelle Allen, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, sister Ruth Boley, sister in law, Linda Murphree and 7 nieces,5 nephews,numerous great and great, great grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
