Nancy Ann (Peters) Rice Biro Blair, 89 of Catawba Island and Oak Harbor went to her eternal home on Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born Christmas Day 1931 in Oak Harbor to the late George and Martha (Fick) Peters. Nancy graduated from Bowling Green State University and became a teacher. She taught for many years at Carroll School and later became the principal at Carroll School.

Nancy was a member of LaPointe United Methodist Church. She loved to go to garage sales and finding interesting gifts for her friends. She enjoyed spending time at the beach collecting lucky stones and beach glass; but most of all she loved being with her family.

Survivors include her daughters: Rebecca Conley and Barbara Apling, brother: Roger Peters, grandchildren: Lacy (Cole Shafer) Conley, and Jacob (Amanda) Apling, great grandchildren: Brooklyn Birchfield and Karson Apling and many dear nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, nephew: David Peters and niece: Jeannie Rae Dornbusch.

Due to COVID 19 there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date. The family has suggested memorials be given to LaPointe United Methodist Church, 7285 W Harbor Rd, Port Clinton, OH 43452, Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
