According to Maxie B Young, child of Doris E Honeycutt, William Burton died at his son, John's house. William had some money that was left to the kids, so his Uncle John and some others bought 8 graves in St. Stephens Cemetery in Louisville, KY. William's headstone is no longer standing. There are 7 others of his family buried there but only one marker remaining and one remaining plot. This information was told to me personally in March 2001 by Maxie B Young.
Max also told me that his mother always went by the name "Dovie" and it is even on her tombstone. Her middle name was Ellen #80652145. She must be the "Doris E" listed in the census. His mother went to visit her brother Stephen in California in 1948. He said she had not seen him in 46 years.
