Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late C.L. and Tecora Chapman Burgess. She retired from Bigelow-Sanford, Inc. and she was a Baptist.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne Lewis of Williamston; sisters, Shelby Tant of Belton, Shirley Cooper (Danny) of Pelzer, and Pearl Thayer of Tampa, FL; brothers, Vernon Burgess of Piedmont and Silas Burgess of Williamston; grandchildren, Nikki Funk (Steve) and Rusty Lewis (Shannon); and great-grandchildren, Caden, Colton, Zach, Hope, and Ozzy.
She was predeceased by sisters, Edna Redus and Audrey Copeland.
