Alton retired from the State of Indiana where he worked as a Carpenter. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Alton was a member of the American Legion, Sons of Norway and St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving children, Michael Prewitt, Elizabeth Harness, Debbie Dattilo, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Dahl, a son, Charles Prewitt and numerous brothers and sisters.
Services and visitation are private, and he will be entombed at Floral Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Flanner Buchanan Floral Park is honored to serve the Dahl family.
